Privacy Policy
How RigHost handles information you share with us.
Effective 2026-04-21RigHost (“we,” “us”) runs a free GPU hosting compatibility checker at www.righost.com. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and what we do not collect.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, payment details, hardware serial numbers, MAC addresses, or any other personally identifying information through the compatibility checker. The browser wizard and the CLI script do not transmit an identifier tied to you personally.
Information we do collect
When you run the compatibility checker, we receive anonymous technical details about the machine being checked. These include: GPU model string (e.g. “RTX 3090”), estimated VRAM, self-reported upload and download speed, available storage, CPU core count, approximate system RAM, operating system family, and whether Docker is installed. We use these values only to compute your compatibility score during that session. They are not joined to any user identifier and are not used for profiling.
Cookies
RigHost itself does not set tracking cookies. The site may use a small first-party session cookie purely to keep rate limits and form state sane during a single visit. Third-party cookies may be set by Google AdSense (see the Ads section below).
Advertising
We show ads on some RigHost pages through Google AdSense. Google is a third-party vendor and uses cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the Internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting adssettings.google.com. You can also learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Policy and Terms pages on RigHost do not display ads.
Server logs
Our web server records standard access logs: the requesting IP address, user agent, referrer, requested URL, and timestamp. We retain these logs for up to 90 days and use them only for operational purposes — keeping the site online, enforcing rate limits, diagnosing errors, and blocking abuse. We do not sell or share these logs.
Third parties
The only third-party service embedded on the public RigHost site is Google AdSense, described above. We do not load Facebook pixels, trackers from data brokers, session replay tools, or analytics SDKs that identify individual visitors. The CLI script (check.sh) only contacts www.righost.com.
Children
RigHost is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it.
Jurisdiction and contact
RigHost is operated from the United States. You can reach us through the contact page with any privacy question or data request.
Updates to this policy
We may update this privacy policy as the site evolves. When we make a material change, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
